Presenting Bavon portable ipod speaker. Nice tak?

Just got it last Saturday at Pavillion. It's a brandless machine, Avox with German technology (in case u all nak menyekik). The sound is wonderful enuff for quiet listening as it has 4 speakers, 2 tweeters and 1 subwoofer at the back. Can't compete with Mamba Bose of course, but for the small price tag, I'm euphoric already. Some more it's light enuff to be carried around.

So, Bavon life with ipod is now complete.

you know how malaysian airlines (MH) "hospitality" towards the unearthly creatures travelling the economy class. the ticket price in bizz & first class btw includes -calling you by your name, getting your meals in noritake look-a-like and 5 cucuk of satay. and dont forget that friendly conversation, " so miss mamba you're flying to LA for holiday? here, let me put your jacket aside, why not you have coffee, juice AND wine?

so imagine mamba's astonishments in the following incidents (all took place in EY):

incident 1:

flight attendent (i heard they get offended if you call them stewardess nowadays)

anyway: " .....and what would the kids have, mem? chicken with noodles or egg with mushroom?"

mamba: " egg with mushroom, please..."

fligh attendent: "alright..egg it is. btw your hair looks great on you!"

err....talk about MH (Malaysian Hospitality)...was that part of Idris Jala rebranding programme? compliments to an EY passenger?

or mamba can put it down to Bob with an O? mamba's latest do (performed just 2 days prior to leaving to the land of dimsum) did turn out very halle berry...

yet...mamba still have her doubts, it could just be another MH standard operating procedure no 56 para 2 - always compliments an EY passenger. in the FAQ: How? a) hair b) baju c)......d).....if everything else fails just compliments the weather

incident 2
flight attendents (while giving out headphones) : "hey! you look familiar!"
mamba: " don't think so, I'm not famous"
flight attendent : "no, you are very familiar"
MH standard operating procedure no 91 para 5c) - if you cant compliments on (refer no 56 para 2) AND the weather is bad...act as though person is famous...or at least familiar.

incident 3
scenario: mamba & family was allowed to enter the cabin first despite holding EY tickets (kids make great peripherals).
so here we are 2 kids on 2 strollers, 3 adults with 4 hand carried items.
mamba was the first to arrive at the cabin - mambaprecious #1 sleeping soundly from the paracetamol dose. so now mamba need to take out & carry mambaprecious from the strollers.... leaving the strollers and 2 hand carry items behind. let bee handle that, mamba thought....but out of the blue came this angel in stick to the skin kebaya and carried the items all the way to EY seat 35 A. that's a long way into the airbus cabin. mamba first thought was ....wow! this MH - Malaysian Hospitality drive must really have a great consultants. but when mamba was all settled in the seat, mamba wondered could it be because the hand carried items happens to be a longchamp and a gucci shopping bag.......would the scenario have changed had it been 'dove free with purchase bag' AND a vincci shopping bag......mamba guess we'll never know.

let's believe it's the malaysia boleh spirit!...
...boleh be courteous irregardless of which tickets you hold...

My last blog for the week.

I've conveyed to Ah Seng that me and my SG subordinate can't work well as a team. It started off with someone from HR told me yest dat the SG guy has been offered a permanent job @ the regional office. At first, I was flabbergasted, how on earth could that happened. But after 3 seconds, I thought hey, dat's a brilliant idea. I can have him out of my sight and I can absorb the current person. Solved my problem right:)

So, I text AS in the eve, and asked him whether the news that I received is correct. And when it will happen. He only replied late last night with a curt reply "no such thing". Feeling that this is the time for me to break the news, I let him know how I feel about the whole arrangement, sort of pre-empt him that I'm ok if they offer him to work in regional office since we don't work well together. I told him it would be great if he could help on this matter. Bavon is hopeful that god will help Bavon with this small request.

Bavoncolourfulpens&reflections

This is Bavon's latest hobby. Collecting coloured pens from Stabilo. Nice and comfortable to write using it and adds colours to my sketches. U know lah, a lot of vetting to do, the colour helps to highlight certain points that I need to make. bought kat Czip Lee after my lunch with NMS at Nirwana today. The first time, bought 2 pens with Mamba, purple and gray. Then, realised it's nice, thought I should get 2 more today. So, I bought red and pink pulak.

Sempat tanya NMS how many people under her, she said there's 5 of them, the team had to supervise about 400 senior managers & above on talent and leadership. I told her, when she's doing her leadership course in the future, to remind people if you're involved in a debate session, to make sure you have ur hanky on standby or a glass of water available. This is to avoid, air liuq terkeluar2 kat tepi mulut! What an embarassing thing to watch on national TV.

Bavon nak touch sikit pasal last nite Debate, sorry Mamba tak sempat tengok coz away with family and OG - out of coverage. I felt that Mr. Strawberry should have focused himself on the topic which is how to reduce the fuel price instead of going on attacking mode towards Defacto Leader of PKR. They're there last nite to talk about the issue and not about political parties or past contributions. Irrelevant to a point that u get dissapointed when the past issues is being referred time and time again. Dahlah time tak panjang, mengada2 nak kutuk org. Lepas tu, fakta tak cukup and doesn't carry with him the charisma like the DL. I feel sorry for him but maybe, that's BN's tactic for the debate lah. Criticise him and try to tell the public, that during his time, he didn't do that much also lah for the public. I'm sure he had to rehearse like a hundred time before the session.

To digress a bit, was wondering how much is the new iPhone cost. Just out of curiousity, heard a lot about the new toy, and OG mentioned it's cheaper than the previous model. Will see lah when it reaches to our shore....or maybe in the end Bavon will remain loyal to Nokaya:)

Never happened before! But that is what happened this morning. Bavon had to drive back (about 30km one way) and get the laptop bag-:( Bavon and NZ had breakfast at home this morning. And Bavon thought can bring some laundry to dobi place for washing later in the evening, we went out together, but Bavon only carry the laundry bag and not the laptop bag!

Bavon only realised after reaching office basement. The laptop bag is nowhere to be found! LOL. What to do, have to drive back and get the laptop bag lah. What a waste of fuel right! I hope it's not a sign of old age lah...what was I thinking, I also don't know.

U guys must be laughing now, I know.... go on and laugh. Luckily I don't stay in Rawang coz that would be a 2hrs journey (back and fro). Sentiasa bersyukur kan.

Hope Mamba will have a good time in HK Disneyland.

And OG - where's ur posting? Thot U want to show us some of the stuff u just bought!

mamba was quite looking forward to catch up on mambamania blog...thinking that fellow menyekik gang (aka bavon & asian farang) will be putting at least half a dozen postings while mamba is away........mamba was disappointed beyond words....

luckily......mamba's shopping spree in Lion City was very successful.......

the loyal delsey carried 13 pairs of shoes, among other things...... t-shirt for mambadad and a whole list of kiddies stuff for mambaprecious,correlle for mambamom (pretty purple) and bee (plain white of course). wait! mamba hand carried those plates....bruised shoulders as proof.

Charles & Keith profit shot up this week for sure.....

it was really a challenge though. mamba had to visit no less than 5 C&K outlets, in the end it's the outlet in the suburb, surrounded by HDB flats made mamba's day. it's called Junction 8 Mall in Bishan. forget Orchard Rd, Marina Sq or Suntec City. this is the only C&K outlets with all the sizes and design available......far away from the crazy tourist in the city. only crazy tourist buys 11 shoes in one go!

mamba bought 11 shoes from C&K.....but to be fair only 7 are mamba's.

mamba also still cant come to terms with the fact that

doesnt's make sense,huh? but it's hard to put a price on comfort....and appeal(?)

just look at that crystal stud....

so mamba will be away again...this time to the land of dim sums; where women carry LVs to the wet market.

mamba is full of hope that bavon & asian farang will not fail her again...there should be many postings by the time mamba gets back....

oh! not forgetting......that saying....things will come for those who wait (or something like that).....after much price comparisons - KL being the most expansive, spore not much cheaper.......mamba finally got her long awaited bag from the land of Alfonso d'Albuqurque (spelling??? need to ask asian farang ~ his great great great great grandfather must be related to mr Alburque)....the bag is courtesy of bee....at much much lower price despite the euro conversion.

Finally, today line clear. Dapat jugak post the bajus. OG - I'm wearing the Nike shirt today. Hehehe. And, guess what, I might be going there again after raya. Our Away Day, after ZM cornered NM at his office and told him that his subordinates sumenya menyampah kat dia coz he wants to have the away day in MY. I guess, you have to do that kind of tactic once in a while to get what u want.

My mum & sister is coming today. Kecoh lah rumah bavon this wknd. We're going to Teluk Intan coz my cousin nak bertunang. Kena lah jadi daughter yg baik kan, even though I'd rather stay at home and do nothing.

BDO Trip

I don't know why I'm unable to upload the pics. Have tried few times already until give up. Sorry lah OG, takder rezeki u nak tengok today, later2 lah.

I must say I've enjoyed the trip, despite tak cukup masa, which is true. Lesson learnt, dont go for 3 days 2 nites trips, not worth it. The massage, food, shopping, live bands, being with friends makes it worth the trip. I will definitely go there again if the opportunity arises. OG - u agree with me right?

You know how my supir pronounce these words - The Palm and The Valley. U'll be surprised and have a great laugh.. The Palam and the Pali. We sure LOL when we arrived and saw the signboards:)

I'm sure Mamba will have a great time going there in August.
